I started with an old silk pillowcase that I wanted to turn into a mini skirt. I prepared the material by washing it, then measured and cut the pillowcase to the correct length, making sure it fit the type of skirt I had in mind. I carefully trimmed the edges to provide an even, polished appearance. Using the pillowcase's existing edge, I attached a waistband to the skirt to improve its structure. I tried on the newly constructed mini skirt after finishing these procedures, adjusting it as needed to get the ideal fit and look. This DIY project not only showcased resourcefulness in repurposing materials but also contributed to a more sustainable approach to fashion by giving new life to an old item.

I found these vintage jorts at a thrift store and saw the potential to transform them into a stylish pair of mini shorts. Using a ruler to ensure straight lines, I carefully cut them to the perfect length for a cute, updated look.
